The West Centtral GA Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened a shelter for evacuees from hurricane Gustav at Calvary Christian School.
The West Centtral GA Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened a shelter for evacuees from hurricane Gustav at Calvary Christian School. (located @ 7556 Old Moon Rd.) The Chapter's shelter operation can accommodate up to 400 evacuees with food and shelter, cots, blankets and supplies.  Volunteer Red Cross nurses are also on hand to andminster basic first aid and mental health counseling .  Families bringing pets will be assisted by PAWS of Columbus.  All disaster relief provided by the Chapter is at NO COST to those looking to them for help and hope.  The West Central GA Chapter of the Red Cross relies on the generosity of our people, locally, to help them get their job done.
